In shortGambling should be a paid form of entertainment, never a way to make money. Set a budget and a time limit before you play, use your casino’s deposit limits, and stop the moment it stops being fun. Free, confidential help is available 24 hours a day: call 1-800-GAMBLER, or call or text 1-800-MY-RESET.

What are the warning signs of a gambling problem?
A gambling problem rarely starts with a big loss. It starts with small habits that grow. If two or more of these sound familiar, it is time to take a break and talk to someone.
- You gamble with money meant for bills, rent or food.
- You chase losses by depositing again to win them back.
- You hide your gambling or lie about how much you spend.
- You borrow money or sell things to keep playing.
- You feel restless or irritable when you try to cut back.
- Gambling takes time away from work, family or sleep.
How do you set limits that work?
Set limits before you play, when your head is clear. Limits set in the middle of a losing session almost never hold.
- Pick a monthly budget you could lose without it hurting. Treat it like the cost of a night out.
- Set a deposit limit in your casino account for that amount. Most casinos offer daily, weekly and monthly caps.
- Set a time limit. Use a phone timer or your device’s screen-time tools.
- Keep casino money separate. A separate crypto wallet or card makes it easy to see what you have really spent.
- Never gamble when upset, drunk or tired. These are the moments limits break.
What is self-exclusion and how does it work?
Self-exclusion is a formal ban you put on yourself. You ask to be blocked from gambling for a set period, and the casino or state must refuse your play during that time.
There are two kinds, and it helps to use both:
- Casino self-exclusion. Ask the casino’s support team to close or lock your account for a set time or for good. This is the only option that covers offshore casinos.
- State self-exclusion. Each state with legal online casinos runs its own program. It covers the licensed casinos in that state, but not offshore sites.
Blocking software that stops gambling sites loading on your phone and computer adds one more layer, and it works on every site at once.
What help is available in your state?

How can you protect children and teens?
- Never share your casino login or leave an account signed in on a shared device.
- Use parental controls and content filters on family devices.
- Talk openly about how casinos make money. The house edge means the casino always wins over time.
This site is for adults 21 and over only.
What do we do as a publisher?
- We show the 21+ rule and a helpline on every page.
- We never describe gambling as a way to earn money or fix money problems.
- We tell you when a casino is licensed offshore, so you know what protections you do and do not have.
- We remove casinos that make it hard to set limits or close an account.
